IndieWire, is the ultimate outlet for creative independence in film and TV, on December 5 in Los Angeles, the event will honor the filmmakers, performers, and artisans responsible for some of the most celebrated works of the year, as the 2024 film awards season reaches its peak.
The fourth edition of IndieWire Honors will celebrate an eclectic and diverse group of honorees from across the cinematic landscape, recognizing the extraordinary contributions of this year’s most innovative talents. This intimate cocktail reception will bring together the best and brightest of the film industry for a night of reflection and celebration.
This year’s honorees include:
RaMell Ross will receive the Auteur Award for his groundbreaking documentary work.
Denis Villeneuve, the director behind Dune and other cinematic landmarks, will be honored with the Visionary Award.
Chris Sanders will receive the Spark Award for his contribution in animation filmmaking.
Steve McQueen & Adam Stockhausen will be honored with the Wavelength Award for their creative collaboration in Blitz.
Pamela Anderson will receive the Performance Award for her inspiring role in Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl.
Angela Patton & Natalie Rae will be honored with the Magnify Award in recognition of their outstanding work as directors of the Netflix documentary Daughters.
Jennifer Lopez will receive the Maverick Award for contributing three decades of chart-topping music, movie-star roles, and producing dozens of films that appeal to viewers across generations.
Justin Kurtizkes, Amy Pascal, and Luca Guadagnino will receive the Impact Award for their contributions to the highly anticipated film Challengers, which delivered an exhilarating blend of passion, competition, and unexpected twists, captivating audiences with its compelling story and dynamic performances from Josh O’Connor, Mike Faist and Zendaya.
