Lauren Weisberger, la ex assistente della direttrice di Vogue America, Anna Wintour, diventata scrittrice e autrice del best seller 'Il Diavolo Veste Prada', otto anni dopo il primo successo del libro, ha annunciato che sta lavorando al seguito del suo best seller.
La tanto attesa sequela diventerà realtà', dal titolo appunto
“Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns”, la cui uscita è programmata per l'aprile del 2013, e quindi le strade di Andy (Anne Hathaway) e Miranda (Meryl Streep) tornano ad incrociarsi!
Nel frattempo, Lauren Weisberger, ha scritto altri romanzi tra cui “Al diavolo piace dolce” (2005), “Un anello da Tiffany” (2008) e “Il diavolo vola a Hollywood” (2011), ma questa è la prima volta che torna a parlare dei personaggi che lavoravano da Runway.
Tra i pochi dettagli che conosco della trama, Nel Sequel si sa soltanto che Andy (Anne Hathaway), questa volta lavora in una rivista per matrimoni ‘The Plunge’, e proprio mentre sta organizzando le sue nozze, il suo destino si incrocia nuovamente con quello della terribile Miranda (Meryl Streep).
L’uscita del nuovo romanzo “Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns” sarà pubblicato da Simon & Schuster. Secondo indiscrezioni, la sequela riprenderebbe la storia otto anni dopo. Andy dirige la rivista per le spose The Plunge insieme alla sua ex collega di Runway, la perennemente a dieta Emily. La protagonista, inoltre, sembra aver lasciato definitivamente il dolce Nate per fidanzarsi con Max, rampollo di una famiglia nel campo dei social media, con un matrimonio in vista. Il mondo dei media di New York, però, è piccolo e lei finisce per incrociare nuovamente la strada di Miranda Priestley.
A quando il film? Al bis letterario farà seguito anche il sequel al cinema?? Non sarebbe male rivedere Meryl Streep e Anne Hathaway insieme sul grande schermo. Io spero proprio di si!!

Revenge Wears Prada picks up eight years after Andy parted ways with Miranda, and Runway magazine. Andy has a new job as the editor of a booming bridal magazine called The Plunge. There, she's aided by her one-time frenemy-turned-bestie, Emily. While Andy is planning her own wedding to Max, a handsome media scion, she remains haunted by her impeccably heeled former boss — and the magazine world being as small as it is, it’s only a matter of time before she hears the dreaded syllables 'Ahn-dre-ah!' again.
In The Devil Wears Prada, evil never looked so good. That's why Simon & Schuster is publishing another entry in the Miranda Priestly story. Both the novel and the movie inspired a wide fascination with the editor, causing many to speculate about Vogue's work-environment, as well as the treatment of magazine staffers in general.
Anyone who have undertaken fashion and beauty internships, it is clear to see that the process is a matter of survival rather than enjoyment.
There has been no mention of a reunion with the original movie cast for what will surely be a highly anticipated silver-screen adaption of the new sequel.
Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns will hit shelves in April 2013. Its predecessor was released a decade earlier in October 2003. As we all know, it was a New York Times best-seller that eventually caught Hollywood's eye.
The film earned two Academy Award nominations for best performance by an actress in a leading role (Streep) and achievement in costume design.
