Ralph Lauren Extends its E-Commerce Reach

Great news for the European consumers. The American brand Ralph Lauren Corporation will extend its e-commerce reach, for all of its brands including home collection.

This is great news for the Italian consumers, and also for the markets of Spain, Greece, Portugal and Ireland. For us Italian bloggers, who have been promoting the Ralph Lauren brand through out the shopping communities worldwide, it's a dream come true to finally have a dedicated online boutique for the Italian consumers.

The crisis moments will soon finish (I hope), and potentiating the e-commerce tools in Europe is the most fashionable way to do it. Ralph Lauren knows that very well.

Ralph Lauren Corporation (NYSE: RL) will further extend its ecommerce reach - through its French online boutique - to Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal and Ireland, following the success of the e-commerce launch in the UK, France and Germany. RalphLauren.com offers comprehensive online shopping access to Ralph Lauren’s modern and timeless American lifestyle, with a full assortment of clothing and accessories for men, women and children, in addition to a full range of home products.

RalphLauren.com is dedicated to providing customers with a premier online shopping experience with its extensive portfolio of brands. For women, the offerings will include modern and glamorous Ralph Lauren Collection, Black Label, Blue Label as well as Pink Pony, Lauren by Ralph Lauren and Girls Runway. The menswear selections range from chic and refined Purple Label and Black Label to Polo, Black Label Denim,  Double RL, RLX Ralph Lauren and Ralph Lauren Big and Tall. Sunglasses, Create Your Own, Denim and Supply Ralph Lauren, Tennis and Golf will also be available for both men and women. Childrenswear is available from Baby to boys and girls sizes, and the Home collection showcases the ultimate in luxury decorative accessories.

The website features a Style Guide -- devoted to offering tips on how to style signature Ralph Lauren looks and insight about the most up-to-the-minute trends -- as well as the RL Magazine, a luxury lifestyle quarterly featuring unique stories and articles reflecting Ralph Lauren’s inspiration for the collections. RL TV offers video featuring exclusive celebrity interviews, runway show footage, sports tips direct from the pros and other highlights from the world of Ralph Lauren.

Launched in November 2000 in the United States, in October 2010 in the UK, in September 2011 in France and in October 2011 in Germany, the e-commerce site was the first step in bringing the Ralph Lauren lifestyle directly to customers. Throughout the decade, Ralph Lauren has pioneered unique technological innovations including the launch of mobile technology in 2008 -- enabling customers to purchase instantly directly from their smart phones -- and the introduction of the Ralph Lauren collection iPhone® application in 2008, which allows users to experience the world of Ralph Lauren in the palm of their hand. In 2010, Ralph Lauren launched a unique four dimensional light installation on the façade of its flagship locations in New York and London. Through the use of advanced video mapping technology, this global event was a first in seamlessly combining art, fashion, music and fragrance into a modern 4D moment. The Company’s other innovative digital platforms include the Children’s Virtual Storybook, Lauren by Ralph Lauren online fashion show, the ‘Make Your Own’ Rugby online runway show, the Make Your Own Rugby iPhone® application, QR Codes and Interactive Windows.

The extension of the e-commerce deliveries in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Ireland marks a further milestone in bringing together the virtual, conceptual and tangible worlds of Ralph Lauren and in expanding its ever-widening reach across the world in innovative, rich and user-friendly ways.
